10-14-1966: Lou Thesz defeated Bobo Brazil for the WWA World title in Los Angeles, CA.

10-28-1966: Mark Lewin wins the WWA World title from Lou Thesz in Los Angeles, CA.

11-12-1966: Dick the Bruiser defeated Mad Dog Vachon for the AWA World heavyweight title in Omaha, NE.

11-19-1966: Mad Dog Vachon regains the AWA World heavyweight title from Dick the Bruiser in Omaha, NE.
