Hello! and WELCOME to the When It Was Cool kitchen! What does food have to do with "retro" toys, movies, & music you may ask? Well, the answer is EVERYTHING! Food is a part of everyone & EVERYTHING! No matter where we are or what we're doing food is usually on our minds or not far from it, besides food is "always cool"! So, why not bring some of the When It Was Cool family favorite recipes here to share with all
Both my Mom & my Granny are great southern cooks! I never really knew the passion I had for cooking until I started trying out recipes and just getting lost in the process of creating something out of spices and powders and mixtures and how you could turn a pile of what looked like nothing into something appealing to the eye and nose! Not only did I really enjoy it, I was GOOD at it too! One of the greatest feelings is the feeling of accomplishment as you watch the ones you love fill their tummies with something you made for them to eat and the compliments that come along with it also make for an "ahhhhh" moment! SO, from dinners to snacks to crock-pot-cooks, easy treats, fast and quick, yummy recipes I will be sharing "what's for dinner" from our family to yours. I hope that you too will try some or all of them & enjoy!
