Magnum T.A. WWE Action Figure by Mattel

By Karl Stern (@dragonkingkarl, @wiwcool, karl@dragonkingkarl.com)

Yes, this is a modern and currently on the shelves action figure but it's of a throw back pro wrestling star.  Magnum T.A. (Terry Allen) was a major superstar on the rise in the old Jim Crockett Promotions NWA area until a tragic car accident ended his career.  Mattel has FINALLY produced a figure of Magnum T.A. and boy is it a good one.  A really great representation of the master of the belly-to-belly suplex.

Here is magnum T.A. by mattel.  the north american championship belt is a custom belt i ordered off of ebay.  i think it helps nicely dress out the figure.

Magnum T.A. has a great head and face sculpt and comes with a removeable vest.

I thought i remembered those boots.  they are the same ones that barry windham from the four horseman set is wearing only in white instead of black.

we never got the pay off to this one!  Magnum T.A. verses Ric Flair.  Was magnum T.A. a future NWA World heavyweight champion?  Perhaps.  He was one belly-to-belly suplex away!
