1990’s Pro Wrestling Star Too Cold Scorpio Sentenced to Prison

The Wrestling Observer website is reporting that 1990s pro wrestling star Too Cold Scorpio has been sentenced to prison in an assault case.

The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Rose reports:

2 Cold Scorpio has been sentenced to jail, though still has a chance at probation.

Scorpio, real name Charles Scaggs, was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday after pleading guilty to charges of assault in the second degree, as well as armed criminal action.

However, according to PWInsider, Scaggs has a chance to complete probation after completing a 120-day program. In the state of Missouri, a defendant can be sent to a Department of Corrections boot-camp-style program that is designed to deliver a “shock” to the offender.

“Upon completion of the 120 days, the Department of Corrections submits a report and recommendation to the court regarding the defendant’s conduct and progress,” PWInsider reports. “If successful, the court can grant probation, releasing Scaggs from prison to serve the remainder of his six-year term under supervision in the community.  If unsuccessful, the judge can deny probation, which would require Scaggs to serve out the remainder of the full 6-year prison sentence.”

Scaggs was taken into custody last month after prosecutors filed a motion seeking to revoke his bond. He admitted that he had brandished a firearm, which was in violation of his bond.

The former WWE, WCW, and ECW wrestler was arrested in June of 2024 after getting into an altercation at a gas station in Kansas City, Missouri where he was working as a security guard. Scaggs allegedly stabbed the man, claiming self-defense. Investigators later made contact with the victim at a local medical facility where he claimed that Scaggs was the aggressor.
