1851:
03-21-1851: In Hagerstown, MD, Thomas Calaman was arrested for murder. Following a wrestling match with Hanson Whelan, a black man, Whelan began bragging to onlookers about throwing Calaman. Calaman then took a pipe and hit Whelan in the head, killing him.
09-12-1851: Carl Abs was born in Grob Godems, Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
