01-22-1912: Jess Westegaard defeats Henry Ordemann in Omaha, NE for what is billed as being the American heavyweight title.

01-26-1912: St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada: CLB Armory: Bob Berry defeated Young Olsen to win the World middleweight title.

02-03-1912: Frank Gotch’s retirement lasts just over a month as he defeats Marvin Plestina in Chicago.

In Kansas City, MO, George Hackenschmidt defeated Gus Schoeniein (Americus).

02-05-1912: St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada: CLB Armory: Young Olson defeated Bob Berry to win the World middleweight title.

02-08-1912: Frank Gotch defeated Gus Schoeniein (Americus) in Kansas City.

02-11-1912: Frank Gotch defeated Frank Ebeirie in St. Joseph, MO.

George Hackenschmidt failed to throw Gus Schoeniein (Americus) in Kansas City, MO.

02-12-1912: At Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY: Stanislaus Zbyszko defeated Giovanni Raicevich.

02-13-1912: In Chicago, IL: George Hackenschmidt defeated Charlie Cutler… Gus Schoeniein (Americus) battled Fred Beell to a draw.

02-20-1912: In Boston, MA, Frank Gotch failed to throw Gus Schoeniein (Americus) twice as agreed upon.

03-09-1912: Dr. Benjamin F. Roller defeated Gus Schoeniein (Americus) in Kansas City, MO… George Hackenschmidt defeated Henry Ordeman.

03-13-1912: Frank Gotch fails to pin Henry Ordemann in Minneapolis, MN in a 20 minute handicap match.

03-15-1912: Frank Gotch again fails to throw Henry Ordemann in Chicago, IL.

03-16-1912: Legendary Pacific Northwest promoter Don Owen is born in Pendleton, OR.

03-22-1912: For the third time in less than a month Frank Gotch fails to throw Henry Ordemann in Omaha, NE.

08-28-1912: Tarzan Lopez (Carlos Lopez Tovar) is born in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico.

09-29-1912: Danno O’Mahoney is born in Dereenlomane, Ireland.

10-02-1912: Paul Boesch is born in Brooklyn, NY.

10-26-1912: Robert Friedrich (AKA: Ed “Strangler” Lewis) loses a rare match to James Souden in Sheboygan Falls, WI.

10-30-1912: Danny McShain is born in Little Rock, AR.

10-31-1912: Robert Friedrich avenges his loss to James Souden in Sheboygan Falls, WI.

11-07-1912: Frank Gotch, who hasn’t wrestled since August, again announces his retirement. This time he says Jess Westegaard deserves the world title. Gotch would be back in action before the year was out.

12-26-1912: Frank Gotch returns to action defeating Carl Hammerschmidt in Minneapolis, MN.
